July No Spend Days

This July I am having a no spend month. You might ask what does this mean? Well it kind of does what it say’s on the tin. This July I am going to avoid spending money on nonessential things. So of course I will be doing my food shopping etc but I am going to avoid the shops on non-food shopping days. I will be using my sinking funds for things like back to school which falls at this time of year. But apart from this I am hoping to avoid spending on more than half the days this month.

The thing I find with no spend days, it really makes you mindful of where your money is going. That quick coffee or that extra bag of Tayto on the way home. All adds up. Over the course of a year this can become costly and quiet a bit of money can be spent that could be used for more useful things.

Now I am not saying don’t pay your bills. Of course pay your bills, that goes without saying. But wake up in the morning and decide this is a no spend day and go for it! Mark the days off and challenge yourself to see what you can achieve. No spend means no cash or card spending.

If you want to join me, I have a free download available to print off. Follow link above! I will be showing my journey on Instagram also @irishbudegetingmammy.

Good Luck!
